Around The Way News
Limp Bizkit is reforming with the original lineup. "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other," said Fred Durst. Is it sad I'm excited about this?
MGMT, Pharrell Williams, Q-Tip and Chromeo have designed artwork for the new issue of Playboy magazine. Unless the "artwork" is in a picture frame one of the playboy bunnies is holding I probably won't see it.

Santogold has issued a press release that she will now be known as "Santigold", but she will also still answer to "who?"

Album You Should Own By Now - Q-Tip
Q-Tip - "The Renaissance"
(A Tribe Called Quest - superfluous material)^2 x (Critical Acclaim + 9 Year Hiatus) = The Renaissance
Chances are you were unaware this album was released, but chances are you will love it. In a time of ringtone rap songs and rappers not being able to actually rap, Q-Tip has released a masterpiece. Its rare anytime an artist releases a "whole album". Most likely there are 2 or 3, or 4 if you're lucky, good songs. The Renaissance probably has only 1 or 2 bad songs. Bad being relative to the rest fo the album.
I posted ManWomanboogie as a Video Of The Day a week ago so i'll post a different song here, but ManWomanboogie is one of the best tracks on the album.
Two more tracks to groove to:
"Gettin' Up"
"Move"
Enjoy

Jimmy Fallon & The Roots
If you haven't heard, Jimmy Fallon's house band will be The Roots. He's posted some videos of himself interviewing The Roots on hig blog and I wanted to post them here but the embedding isn't working for some reason. Here are the links....
Meet The Roots
Ask Jimmy Feat. The Roots
Get To Know Your Roots
I have been following Jimmy Fallon's blog since it started and to be honest, I'm excited about his show starting. I'm jumping on the band wagon now. Although, this may end up like the time I jumped on the Len bandwagon before everyone else.

Grammy Bowl III: The Results - Josh gets Rihanna'd
The results are in.....and I slaughtered Josh. This beating is worse than when they round up five white guys to "play" the Harlem Globetrotters. After three years, Josh and I are officially tied, 1-1-1. This year we picked 15 different awards. I ended up getting 8 of 15 and Josh got a measly 5 of 15. 4 of Joshs picks I also picked. You could say, Josh only got 1 pick correct.
Here is how it breaks down:
My Correct Picks:
Album Of The Year (Plant & Krauss)
Record of The Year (Plant & Krauss)
Song of the Year (Coldplay)
Best New Artist (Adele)
Best R&B Album (Jennfier Hudson)

Album You Should Own By Now - Viva La Hova
Jay-Z Vs. Coldplay [Mash-up] - Viva La Hova
(The Grey Album - The Beatles) + Coldplay = Viva La Hova
If you like Jay-Z and Coldplay then there is no way you won't like this mash-up disc. I couldn't find a bad track on the whole album. The main concept behind a mash-up is taking the music of one artist and the vocal track of another artist and creating a totally new track. This disc has some of the best mash-ups you will ever hear.
Here are three of my favorite tracks:
"Life Of Clocks"
"Take The Hill"
"Miss Trouble"
Oh yeah, It's free. Enjoy.
